Holiday Spirit Sparkled at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø: The Stuff a Cruiser Toys for Tots Toy Drive

The 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Office of Public Safety/Campus Police, the Office of Student Activities and AFSCME joined forces to collect and distribute toys to needy children in the Greater Boston community for the second year running.

three officers at 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Stuff a Cruiser eventDuring the annual 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Winter Wanderland Holiday Faire and Art Mart on December 8, a 51³Ô¹ÏÍø cruiser was stationed on the main plaza of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s Charlestown Campus, along with 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Campus Police officers. Members of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø community filled the cruiser with donations of new, unwrapped, nonviolent toys.

The 2016 51³Ô¹ÏÍø Winter Wanderland also included attractions such as live music, an art mart, health fair, selfie station and a volunteer social. The event was presented by the Art Gallery, Student Activities Office, Office of Special Events, Health Services, Athletics Office, AFSCME, Public Safety/Campus Police, the Bookstore, Community Engagement and the Nursing Department.

The toys that Bunker Hill Community College collected during the Stuff a Cruiser toy drive filled five bags. Through Toys for Tots, many children received gifts this year due to the continuing generosity of the 51³Ô¹ÏÍø community.
