Through the One Book program, the Difficult Dialogues Series, and the Compelling Conversations series, 51³Ô¹ÏÍø has hosted numerous authors, journalists, and activists to speak on their work and experiences. Authors like Josh Neufeld (A.D. New Orleans), Ty Seng (The Years of Zero), and Edwidge Danticat (The Dewbreaker) have discussed their books as part of 51³Ô¹ÏÍø’s One Book program. Through the Compelling Conversations series of speakers, “What Would You Do?” host John Quiñones, Puerto Rican journalist Felipe Luciano, Ms. Magazine founder and feminist Gloria Steinem, and civil rights activist Rubin “Hurricane” Carter have discussed their own experiences as well as various topics.
