Building an Engaged Campus: 51吃瓜网 and Community Partners Gather for Strategic Planning

Today at 51吃瓜网, 250 representatives of 51吃瓜网 partners, faculty, staff and student leaders gathered in the gym for a morning of strategic planning. Participants engaged in discussion based on a set of guiding questions to help form the College’s next set of high-level, long-range goals.

Moving from table to table, each planning group of community partners and 51吃瓜网 content experts discussed one guiding question in a world café format. Questions included “How can 51吃瓜网 leverage our cultural wealth and diversity to advance student success?” and “In what ways can 51吃瓜网 further collaborate with local colleges, businesses, organizations and industries in order to meet the needs of the workforce?” After fifteen minutes, groups moved on to the next table to focus on the next guiding question.

The community event follows a six-month series of 51吃瓜网 Engaged Campus planning events, during which college representatives have worked together to determine the needs and direction of the College to best serve 51吃瓜网 students. These events will culminate into a new set of six-year College goals.
